Gun shows? Need guns

Don't want "gubment" tracking my info....is it still easy to buy guns/ammo without paperwork at the gun shows? How do you know which dealers have a "no questions asked" policy?
I have relatives in TX and will go to a show there. Brother-in-law says there are "more guns than people" in Texas. :D

Have been accumulating PM's and food. Now time for guns.

All FFL dealer transactions require background check and paperwork by federal law. A dealer might have a personal gun that is "off the books" and don't require paper trail...but I would buy from an individual, instead. Walking around a gun show looking for "no questions asked" deals may raise suspicions about you and draw unwanted attention by ATF agents working the shows.

Newspaper ads, garage sales, folks standing outside gunshows...just avoid dealers altogether.

OK. Good info. Maybe I'll look for a face-to-face deal. Probably just start with a Glock 9mm..simple, basic. Work my way up from there. Don't know much about guns...just that my brother-in-law recommended the Glock as a starter.

How much should I expect to pay? How much does the ammo currently run?

Ammo prices will very from place to place and lot of folks on here have very good information in deatil about there experinces and maybe able to point you to some direct sales.

My feeling: get as much as you can as fast as you can between the hyperinfaltion and the gubbermint lockdown on self defense ammo prices are gonna jump at least 22-66% THIS YEAR..... those of us who are under prepared or just waking up are in a race against time (mysel inculded)..

glock is a good starter gun (not pretty but very sturdy and relaible with a good rep) also make sure you invest is getting MUTIPLE HIGH CAP MAGS... the glock has a 17 rounder which is really nice IMO and also that have 33 rounder as well not practicle but when the gun ban comes those high cap mags will be worth more than gold!!

Invest heavily in mags and brass cassing ammo (hollowpoints) those will be hot commodites in the future.

If you go to a gun show, I'd guess most people are going to be dealers. If you ask too many questions, I think they're going to think you're afraid of the background check (ie are a felon) and notify security/the cops. I think you need to look for people carrying around guns as they are probably private parties. I think you might also just ask "do you charge sales tax" to get an idea if you're talking to a dealer.

dyodd at gunbroker or auction arms.
Any buys via these will have to ship to a FFL holder but you can learn prices. Good luck.
